Summary: We loved staying at Michelle’s home in HPP. It was even more spacious than I thought it would be from the photos. We loved the natural finishes, the layout of the home, and high ceilings. I grew up in HPP and it felt like being back home, drifting off to the sound of coqui frogs at night and seeing the stars through the bedside windows. It’s conveniently off of a main-ish street, not too much traffic but that would be my only caution if you’re expecting zero road noise ever during your trip. It didn’t bother us. We spent most of our time doing activities anyway and came home at the end of the day, though we did have one day of relaxing at home so the kids could have a break. No A/C but it was fine with fans and windows. Loved seeing the geckos and flowers on the property and the papaya tree. Avocado tree too, but they weren’t full/ready when we were there. Great location, close to paradise cliffs and not far from Pahoa or Keaau. Highly recommend and we’d love to stay again next time we’re back. Mahalo :)
